The River Meadows Maramon

I arrived at River Meadows late and by bicycle after long sweaty day. I hadn't prebooked and turned up in the hope of finding a room, having seen on Google maps that there was a possibility of a bed. What a lucky break! Teri and his family were the most charming of hosts and so attentive to the needs of a weary traveller. Rest and water were followed by a room inspection; it was a good size, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I was then shown an extensive menu and offered to choose whatever I liked. I went for the grilled pannier and the king fish, both of which were excellent. The location of the property overlooks the Pamba River with its exotic birdlife. My only regret was that I wasn't spending more time here. Do visit. Regards James Cripps , London.
